Each of these markets tell me something different about the city I am in and the people who live there, connecting me to the city.

 

People always ask me what I love most about traveling. I find answering this question difficult and often just end up telling a story about an experience that I had had while visiting a market.

I’ve been lucky enough to call Manila home for the last three years. Manila is an exciting and vibrant city, but one that gets bypassed by tourists on the way to the beach resorts of Boracay and El Nido. However, in my experience, there is a wide variety of markets here
that showcase the city and I love to explore them. They tell a story of the Philippines that no five-star resort will offer.
